What makes the situation all the more absurd is that some Roblox players are blaming fast-food chain Chipotle for the issues. The hugely popular online game has been taken offline for unplanned maintenance most of Friday. Yet even Roblox's servers appear to have their breaking point. Suffice to say, Roblox must have astonishingly strong server infrastructure in order to support that many players. Hundreds of millions of people play Roblox every single month. In recent months, Roblox has continued to offer players in-game experiences from creative collaborators ranging from Paris Hilton to Twenty One Pilots to Netflix.Roblox is one of the most popular games in the world. Daily active users spend an average of 156 minutes per day with the game. The free-to-play Roblox reports to draw more than 200 million active users monthly, with players utilizing a wide range of devices, including iOS, Android, tablets, computers, Xbox, Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. Roblox has since clarified that “this outage was not related to any specific experiences or partnerships on the platform.”Īs of this writing, the official Roblox website continues to display the regular message signifying technical maintenance: “We’re making things more awesome.
